Swedish 45/60/90 minutes

Swedish massage is an undressed massage. You are covered by a sheet, exposing only the body part being massaged at the time. I use a variety of massage strokes including effleurage, petrisage, friction, vibration, and tapotment. The strokes are designed to warm the body, pace the massage, break up scar tissue and adhesions, stimulate nerve activity and blood flow, and to help the client relax.
Shiatsu 45/60/90 minutes

Shiatsu is Japanese for "finger pressure". It is a type of massage that is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine. Like acupuncture, it utilizes finger, palm pressure, and stretches. I work with the breath of the client to press into pathways in the client, where illness is thought to be a result from imbalance of the natural flow of energy. It is found to help calm, reduce stress, muscle pain, and anxiety. It is a clothing-on massage with movable clothes. Traditionally done on the floor on a mat.
Lymphatic 60 minutes

Lymphatic Massage, as taught by the National Holistic Institute, is for "Healthy Adults". The lymphatic system plays a major role in warding off infection and healing injuries. I work with the breath of the client to provide rhythmic pressure that helps increase circulation in the lymphatic system. This type of massage is recommended no more than once a month. It is important to drink a lot of water before and after this massage.

Joint Mobility 45/60/90 minutes

Joint mobility works with the range of motion of particular joints. I stretch and move the muscles around the joints to help decrease adhesions, increase blood flow, and ease pain.
Deep Tissue 60/90/120 minutes

Despite what it may sound like, Deep Tissue massage does not mean it is elbow work or heavy pressure. Rather, Deep Tissue is "detail" work. It is good for tough spots, scar tissue, deeply and chronically held tension. It is slow work, as I really need to sink into the muscle tissue to help it release. The session typically ends with me stretching the client and range of motion exercises since the muscles were deeply engaged.
Pregnancy Massage* 45/60/90 minutes

Pregnancy massage is very helpful to increase blood and lymph circulation. It decreases pain, swelling and stress, and promotes restorative sleep. It incorporates side-lying techniques to keep client comfortable while getting back, back of legs and buttox massaged. I was trained in Pregnancy Massage Techniques at National Holistic Institute.
*Massage is not recommended in the first trimester or in high-risk pregnancies.
Please Note: I require physician's permission before any pregnancy massage is performed.

Myofascial Therapy 45/60/90/120 minutes

Myofascial Therapy is targeted muscular work. It helps with range of motion or postural issues. It is very slow, very targeted work. It utilizes cross fiber and longitudinal release techniques. Session typically starts and ends with a postural and range of motion assessment. The assessments will be shared with you to show you your progress. If continued over multiple sessions, I can show you all of your charts so you can see your progress.
Thai 45/60/90/120 minutes

Thai Massage is a massage done with clothing on that allows movement; it is done on a mat on the floor. Thai Massage has also been referred to as Yoga massage. It is based on the theory that the body has pathways, about 72,000 of them, called sen. Air and energy travels through these pathways and these pathways are massaged by by pressing along points on the major lines. Thai Massage also incorporates yoga like stretches to help stimulate the sen lines and keep the air and energy moving. Some stretches include fingers, toes, back, arms or chest. Traditionally these massages last about 2 hours, I can do a shortened session of 60/90 minutes.
Salt or Sugar Scrubs 60 minutes only additional $40

Salt or Sugar scrubs entail light massaging with salt or sugar mixtures. The Salt or Sugar scrubs help exfoliate/tone the skin, increase circulation, relax nerves and muscles, decrease stress and pain; salts help draw out toxins. After the Salt or Sugar mixture is cleaned off, the session is completed with a massage with oil or lotion.

Onsite or Chair (message me for in office group rates)

Chair massage is great for tight spaces, spasms, or any limitation where you would not want to lie down. I can travel to your work (if allowed by your company) and massage you while you do your office work, so you do not lose time in your day to get that important stuff done. I can also bring the chair to your house if you prefer chair massage. Late in pregnancy, this is a great alternative to a table massage.

Aromatherapy add on $10

Aromatherapy is not a type of massage in itself; it is an add-on to any of the above modalities. The aroma of different essential oils have different effects. While one might help you relax, another might cheer you up. Some believe various aromas help with ailments. If you want a particular oil and I don't have it, I will order it for you I use Doterra Essential oils. I can incorporate it into your oil/lotion or it can be used in a diffuser so the aroma can fill the air during your massage.
